Australian born and Aussie formed, AC/DC has been melting faces with their rock for decades. Undergoing multiple lineup changes until the release of High Voltage (1975), membership began to stabilize around Malcolm and Angus Young. AC/DC has gone on to sell over 200 million records, including 71.5 million albums in the United States alone making them the 10th highest-selling artist in the country and 14th best worldwide. The album Back in Black, honored on this shirt, has sold an estimated 50 million albums making it the third highest-selling album by any arts and the highest-selling album by any band.

By the end of the ‘70s, AC/DC had already released six studio albums, plus the live record, If You Want Blood You’ve Got It. The Australian hard rockers spent the decade breaking into the international mainstream—an uphill battle as the U.S. market wouldn’t even release their third album, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. That all changed with 1979’s Highway to Hell, which would be the band’s first to chart in America at No. 17 on the Billboard 100. Producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange, played a pivotal role in the evolution of the band’s sound, polishing Bon Scott’s vocal style, and working closely with Angus Young on the guitarist’s ripping solo from “Highway to Hell.” Tragically, the album would be the final AC/DC record to feature Bon Scott, who died just seven months later before the band could finish what would become their mega-hit record, Back in Black.

Preshrunk, classic, heavy blend crewneck sweatshirt features 1 x 1 rib with spandex and double-needle stitching at waistband and cuffs. It's made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester fleece knit. Care Instructions: Machine wash and tumble dry on low.
